A simple way to make Mom feel special is to make her breakfast in bed. I love when my kids surprise me and I know your mom will too. Here are a few tips to make it a success!
- Plan ahead. Make it easier on yourself and less time consuming by doing your prep work the day before. We also don’t want her to wake up early from hearing you in the kitchen!
- If Mom wakes up before breakfast is ready, bring her something to read and a cup of coffee or tea. This would also be a good time to give her your Mother’s Day card or that book she’s been hinting at!
- Place a small bud vase with a single flower or small bunch from your garden on the breakfast tray to add a finishing touch she’ll love. Make sure you use a tray with side handles for easy transportations and to help prevent spills.
Don’t stress yourself out by trying to prepare an elaborate four course breakfast. Mom will be impressed regardless of what you make; it’s the thought that counts. Need some recipe inspiration? These look delicious!
